Developing with the WiSeConnect™ SDK#

This documentation provides a development guide and reference for the SiWx91x™ chipset family using version 3.0.0 and later of the WiSeConnect™ software development kit (SDK), a simple-to-use application programming interface (API) for Internet Protocol (IP) networking and connectivity.

The WiSeConnect SDK (also known as Simple API or SAPI) is the next-generation Wi-Fi SDK for Silicon Labs customers that replaces RS9116x SDK (Formerly known as WiSeConnect 2 SDK, before 3.0.0) with a modular design and an organization of features into configurable components.

SiWx917 is a Wi-Fi system-on-chip (SoC) consisting of:

  • an application processor for running applications.

  • a network processor running the full Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) networking stacks, along with certain protocols like Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) and HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

To get started using SiWx91x, refer to the Getting Started guides in this documentation.
