The Wi-Fi Provisioning demo showcases how to do provisioning over Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi Provisioning Setup#
Flash “Wi-Fi Provisioning via Access Point” firmware from Simplicity Studio into BRD2605A board.
Si Connect Mobile App Setup#
To connect to the Devkit SSID, follow these steps:
Open the settings on your phone.
Navigate to the Wi-Fi or network settings.
Select the option to connect to an Access Point (AP).
Choose the appropriate AP from the list.
For example, the firmware has a default SSID: MY_AP_SSID and a password: MY_AP_PASSPHRASE. Enter these credentials to connect.
Note: For iPhone users, local network access can be enabled by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and toggling the switch for the Si-Connect app.
Open the Si Connect mobile app and start the Wi-Fi Provisioning Demo. Then, select the AP, which is scanned by node (Dev Kit).
When you select a network, a dialog box appears, asking for the Wi-Fi password. After you enter the password and click Provision, the sensor device will connect to the selected network.
The following UART logs indicate the connection status of the device.
