Enabling Developer Mode#

Enable Bluetooth Development Mode for iPhone Device#

EnableBluetoothCentralMatterClientDeveloperMode is the certificate that you must install on an iPhone to enable Development Mode for Bluetooth.

To install the certificate:

  1. Open EnableBluetoothCentralMatterClientDeveloperMode

  2. Click on the link Bluetooth Central Matter Client Developer Mode Profile to download the certificate.

  3. Enter your Apple Developer credentials.

  4. Transfer the downloaded certificate to your iPhone.

  5. On the device, go to:

    Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Bluetooth Central Matter Client Developer Mode > Install > Done.

Enable Developer Mode for iPhone Device#

NOTE: Since the stable launch of iOS 16, you can no longer enable iOS enable Developer Mode from the settings. Apple removed the toggle to further improve the security for general consumers. Now, if you want to enable Developer Mode on iOS 18/iOS 17, you have to use Xcode (in Mac) or use iCareFone. (iCareFone is recommended. It is free and much easier than Xcode.)
