Silicon Labs provides components and configuration options that enable you to configure Thread 1.4 features with sample applications. For more information, see Configuring OpenThread Applications for Thread 1.4.

For information specific to Thread 1.3, see Configuring OpenThread Applications for Thread 1.3. Thread 1.4 is the recommended protocol version starting with the silabs-2024.12 SDK for the soc and starting with silabs-2025.6 SDK for the otbr.
