Known Issues and Limitations#
Mode-3 (PBR + RTT) is not supported.
The accuracy of RTT is sub-optimal compared to PBR and performance improvements are under development.
Measurement accuracy is heavily affected by the movement speed of the devices. For high accuracy, the movement speed shall be lower than 1 m/s. We are constantly working on making the application more responsive to support dynamic use-cases.
Cases where one reflector is connected to multiple initiators may lead to closed connections due to operation timeout. Limited testing was performed for multiple Initiators <-> one reflector and multiple reflectors <-> one Initiator configurations.
Free running mode (Maximum Procedure Count = 0) will cause closed connections if using the default procedure and connection intervals. Relaxing the intervals improves the stability. The root cause for this is known, and will be fixed in upcoming releases.
Environmental conditions e.g. walls and metal acting as RF reflectors can affect accuracy.
Interoperability with other vendors’ solutions is not yet supported.
When operating in SL_RTL_CS_ALGO_MODE_STATIC_HIGH_ACCURACY mode, a degradation in accuracy can be observed in low SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) RF environments.
The likeliness indicator should be used with caution. A high value (close to 1) indicates that an estimated distance is likely accurate, while a low value (close to 0) is unreliable and may or may not indicate a bad distance estimate.
