Install Simplicity AI SDK on Linux#

Install and configure the Simplicity AI SDK on Linux for GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Codex.

The Simplicity AI SDK is included with a standard Simplicity Studio® v6 installation. Download Simplicity Installer from the Simplicity Studio website, and then complete the verification steps for your integrated development environment (IDE).

For Cursor, install the Silicon Labs Visual Studio Code extension in Cursor and verify that the installer-generated MCP servers are enabled in Cursor Agent mode.

Download and Run the Installer#

1. Install the required packages:

   sudo apt install libbz2-1.0=1.0.8-5.1
   sudo apt install bzip2sudo apt install libbz2-1.0=1.0.8-5.1
   sudo apt install bzip2

2. Download Simplicity Installer from the Simplicity Studio website.

3. In the file navigator, double-click the SimplicityInstaller executable from the archive.
