Import or Open an Existing Project#

You can open Simplicity Studio projects in VS Code in several ways.

1. Use File > Open Folder... to open a single Simplicity Studio project folder in VS Code.

2. Use File > Add Folder to Workspace... to add multiple project folders to a VS Code workspace. Then use File > Save Workspace As... and save the VS Code workspace file outside the Simplicity Studio workspace folder.

3. Use the Silicon Labs view to import a Simplicity Studio workspace. In the Workspace container, select Import Workspace, and then select a recent workspace or browse to a workspace folder.

Only projects and solutions generated with the Visual Studio Code generator are displayed in the Silicon Labs view.
