The RS9116W supports two bootloading modes:
-
Host Interaction (Non-bypass) Mode : In this mode, the host interacts with the bootloader and gives boot-up options (commands) to configure the different boot-up operations. The host tells the module what operations it has to perform based on the selections made by the user.
-
Bypass Mode : In this mode, bootloader interactions are completely bypassed and use the stored boot-up configurations (which are selected in host interaction mode) to load the default firmware image in the module. This mode is recommended for final production software to minimize the boot-up time.
