Hardware Considerations#
A Silicon Labs development kit is not required to get started with Simplicity Studio. However, if Simplicity Studio detects an official development kit, you can use it to select the appropriate software and tools for installation. If you don't have a development kit, explore the available options here.
Hardware Kits#
If you have a Silicon Labs Wireless Pro Kit (WPK) or Starter Kit (WSTK), mount a Radio Board on the Mainboard and connect the Mainboard to your PC using a USB cable.
Note: For best performance in Simplicity Studio, make sure the power switch on the mainboard is in the Advanced Energy Monitoring (AEM) position.
