AN1514: SiWG917 SoC PTA 3-Wire Co-Existence for Wi-Fi and Zigbee#

This application note describes the implementation of a Packet Traffic Arbitration (PTA) demo using EFR32MG21 devices for Zigbee® and the SiWG917 System-on-Chip (SoC) for Wi-Fi®. Both operate concurrently on overlapping frequency channels in the 2.4 GHz band while being spatially co-located. PTA coordinates 2.4 GHz RF traffic between co-located radios on the same host and wireless solutions. These techniques apply to the EFR32MGx family.

The document provides detailed guidance on implementing PTA for the SiWG917 in Wi-Fi environments. It assumes that you have a basic understanding of Wi-Fi coexistence principles and how they apply to Zigbee devices (EFR32MG21). The document focuses on the PTA-related functions and configuration options of the SiWG917 and references corresponding features on the EFR32MG21. For more information, see UG103.17: Wi-Fi® Co-Existence Fundamentals.
