Roaming#

Before using this page, ensure that roaming is enabled.

Use Roaming to configure the following options:

  • Advanced Trigger Level

  • Roaming Trigger Level

Advanced Trigger Level#

This setting defines the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) threshold that triggers a background scan while the device is connected to an access point (AP).

When the RSSI of the connected AP drops below this threshold, the device automatically initiates a background scan to identify better APs for potential roaming.

Roaming Trigger Level#

This setting defines the RSSI threshold that triggers the roaming algorithm. When the RSSI of the connected AP drops below this threshold, the device attempts to roam to a better AP.

Setting this value to SL_WIFI_NEVER_ROAM disables roaming.
